Saints Kellen Moore on Tyler Shoughs first start Were not looking back

Saints coach Kellen Moore moved rookie Tyler Shough this week, and the first-year coach said the plan is to have Shough start the rest of the season.

If Kellen Moore needed a reason to pivot the Saints toward a path defined by rookie quarterback, he received a few over the last two weeks.

Spencer Rattler's last Northy to move to New Orleans' 2025 40 overall pick, Moore named Saints (1-7) Saints (1-7) Saints (1-7) 2-7 first 2-7) Saints (1-7) 2 - 5-2 Sunday 2-5-2.

Moore hopes the change will prove permanent.

"Tyler is starting. We're not going to look back on that," Moore said Wednesday via the team's official website. "Clearly, the goal is to let Tyler play and move on."

"Spencer knows that his position is to be the backup and he will help tyler in any way.

Rattler started the season in promising fashion and showed a strong presence, completing 68.4% of his passes for 1,217 yards and a 6:1 TD-INT ratio through his first six starts in 2025.He finally got his previously elusive first win in Week 5 and appears to be on the upswing as New Orleans heads into October.

However, as the gift stacking began in Weeks 7 and 8, Moore realized it was time to make a change and replaced Rattler with Shough after the second year expired for six turnovers (four interceptions, two lost fumbles) in his last two starts.

Naturally, Moore traded the change because of Schaff's progress through the first eight weeks of the season. While this may be correct, it is also clearly a decision made with winningAt 1-7, the Saints proved they didn't have enough margin to give up possessions in the bunch.

"Spencer did a really good job."Christ said."I think what, Spencer has proven that he can win games in high-level games. This is two quarters we feel good."

"I think Tyler's ready. I think he's got to play a little bit, a little bit. He's very ready and he's ready to go."

In Schole's first look, the Bucs who felt that they felt they had 128 yards (of 30) in the last minute of the practice.

When he takes the field as the best signal-caller in Los Angeles, it won't be ordinary.Moore understands there may be obstacles in Shuff's way, but he won't argue with the decision to put the Louisville product in.

"We're not doing it backwards," Moore said."That (Shaa starting some seasons) is the goal.

"That's the whole goal and the plan of this thing, leave Tyler and let him have a ton of success and navigate the things he needs to navigate."

The show takes the wheel for the first time on Sunday.Moore brings out a map and calls for instructions. It will be up to Rookie to figure out the rest.
